Upanishad Vidya Saar (Essence of Upanishads)
Upanishad Vidya Saar (Essence of Upanishads) by Swami Tejomayananda. pages 140
The highest knowledge of the Vedas is enshrined in the Upanishads. They unequivocally declare 'I am the infinite Truth. Realizing this is the very purpose of human life. We then live without any regrets and fears, sorrows and delusions, differences and conflicts and in oneness and harmony with the entire universe a true 'happily ever after' ending to our eternal journey of birth and rebirth.
Like each flower, each mantra of the Upanishad has its special fragrant meaning. Flowers are carefully chosen, oil extracted, then mixed, matched and processed to produce the perfect perfume. Swami Tejomayananda has skilfully and carefully picked the choicest of mantras, extracted their essence in the commentary, and composed them in a unique sequence to form the matchless scent of Advaita-Vedanta in 'Upanishad Vidya Saar'. The grace of the Guru and the churning of our study, reflection and realization will further enhance this scent and make our lives a fragrance of blessings to all, leaving within us a sense of completeness - pürņam eva avaśiṣyate.
Vedanta Madhuryam, My Dearest Sweet Self
The near and dear do bring some cheer in life, but costs dear, also bring a lot of fears and tears and will in time disappear. However, there is one and only one thing which is the nearest, the most beloved, the very source of happiness, which never leaves us and is completely free! It is the undotted 'I', my very own dearest Self. It is 'my own sweet home', the only one I truly own.
Vedanta introduces this ever sweet Self to me and makes me truly Self-centred, and that is its beauty and fascination. Empowered by Self-knowledge Arjuna became victorious, Buddha became Enlightened and Swami Chinmayananda became loved and revered.
Vedant Madhuryam - My Dearest Sweet Self is one more beautiful composition of Swami Tejomayananda, himself a Master exponent of Vedanta. The verses and the commentary give us a taste of the sweetness of Vedanta and compelling reasons why we should study it. Why wait for the twilight years of life, when you can be happy here and now.
Vision of the Bhagavad-Gita
All of us have an inborn desire for peace and happiness. But there are times in life that we experience so much inner conflict that peaceful existence just does not seem possible. It is at such times that many of us turn towards the sacred scriptures of the world for guidance. Among the ancient scriptures of India, the Bhagavad Gita holds a special place. Rich with spiritual insights and wisdom its message is universal. For centuries it has been a vast source of inspiration to all those seeking spiritual guidance. This illuminating commentary by Swami Tejomayananda on selected verses from the Bhagavad Gita shows how inner wisdom enables us to maintain mental balance while dynamically acting in the world. His teachings are profound, yet simple, but above all relevant in today's world. He guides us on how to base our choices on the vision of Oneness and Truth, so that we can revitalize and enliven every aspect of our lives.
